Lizbeth:  Cusco, Perú

PeaceBikers Tad and Frank got the priviledge of spending Christmas 2000 with the Ccala Ferro family.  During this time we got to know the kids of the family.  They were excited about being interviewed by PeaceBike and would love to get letter and email.  They cannot check email more than once a week because of the expense but you can still send them an email.  Remember that they speak Spanish and so you may want to find someone to translate your letter or go to translator.go.com.

PeaceBike:  So Lizbeth,  what do you do for fun?
Lizbeth:  I like to listen to music.  I like lots of types of music such as salsa, romantic music, Latin Americano, Back Street Boys, Bonjovi, Shakira, Luis Miguel, and Julio Iglesias.  I also like to watch movies.  I like action movies with Arnold Swarttzeneger, Stallone, and Van Dam.  But I also like romantic movies like Romeo and Juliet and Titanic.

PeaceBike:  I know that you study a lot so when do you have time to listen and watch all of that?
Lizbeth:  After school I go and study with my friends.  And then, as a reward, when our studying is done, we turn on the music and dance.  We just dance in our houses but that is often a better environment than the discotecas.  Then I hurry home because I have to be home by 6:00 pm every night.

PeaceBike:  You are now in university and I know you are studying hard because I have seen all of your books and notebooks.  What are you studying?
Lizbeth:  I am studying Obstetricia y Puericultura (Obstetrics and Early Childhood Care) and would like to work as a obstretician after school.  I will need 5 years studying here and then I would like to study for 3-4 more years abroad, to specialize.  I am also studying computers and English at another local academy.

PeaceBike:  Wow.  Good for you!!  Lizbeth, how are you a peacemaker?
Lizbeth:  I have a number of friends who do not have very good relationships with their parents and I help them with these situations.  I support them, listen to them, and encourage them when they are not getting very much encouragment from their family.

PeaceBike:  Any message for your PeaceBike Pals?
Lizbeth:  Follow your dreams, don`t give up!  I would like to learn about you, your life, and share ideas...so please write to me!
