"On the Trail"
Thurday, August 23, 2001: Heading North - Maxwell to Hearst, Ontario
Frank here...
So long until next time to Denis, Barb, Andrea and Al. Thank you for letting us share some of your summer with such a wonderful visit. Eleven hours later, Louise and I were in Hearst where she grew up. Her mother, Carmen lives in this small town which about 95% of the people speak French.
Carmen had a string of flags of the countries that I visited set up in the driveway, and a WELCOME sign for me at her place. What a nice surprise! Not long after we arrived, the local paper came over and took some pictures and had a quick interview with me. Great, an article with another language - French.
Once again I enjoyed dinner and great company. Thank you Carmen.
